2001 - Hunters Safety Course

The McLean County Sportsmen's Association's Hunters Safety Course was held Aug. 14th, 16th, and 18th at the residence of Larry Dowden, north of Bloomington/Normal.  We had 38 participants in this years safety course and the lowest score graded was a 92 out of a possible 100.  This was a great job!

The sportsmen's group agreed to pay for a pheasant hunt for all the kids that successfully completed the safety course, and 15 kids signed up for the pheasant hunt.  The pheasant hunt was scheduled for October 20th at Koeberlein's hunting preserve.

Below are some pictures of the success these kids had that day.  Please watch for future safety classes being scheduled and enroll other young adults, so they too can enjoy the fun of hunting outdoors safely.
